FORUM RULES
The www.freeandeasyguitar.com forum is an open forum allowing registered (free) members to post and interact with other members in the forum. The forum is used by guitar
enthusiasts who are learning or improving their skills. All members of the forum have something positive to contribute and we encourage member interaction, helping each
other and sharing information that may be of a benefit to each other. The forum is a community and as such, must have guidelines for community behaviour. The Site Owner
wants any member of the forum to contact him or one of the site moderators to discuss any issue of concern regarding the behaviour, actions or postings of another member.
You may also use the "Report Post" link on each post. Our goal is to keep this forum friendly, positive and SAFE for all members.
- Common Decency Guidelines:

This forum is a member driven and yet public forum. Members using this forum come from a broad background of personal experience, cultures and diversified lifestyles. We respect a persons right to choose how and where they live their life and how they self-identify. Since this is a public forum that anyone can join, all postings, content of postings, content associated to postings must follow these simple common deceny guidelines that respects a persons background, morals, values and right to self-determination:
- No pornographic, defammatory or discriminating posts or content are permitted.
- No contents or links to content that encourages or supports illegal activity, pornographic, defammatory or discriminating behviour of any kind including but not limited to warez sites, hacking sites, pornographic sites or hate mongering sites.
- No flamming of other members. Your posts must be respectful. If you disagree with another member, open discussion is encouraged. However, keep it clean and keep it in perspective. Ultimately, you may need to simply agree to disagree.
- Stalking of other members will not be permitted in any form.
- Posts:

→ All posts must follow and adhere to the Common Decency Guidelines.
→ Posts are to be made in the relevant forum. Users are asked to read the forum descriptions before posting.
→ Members are asked to not act as “back seat moderators”. If members note an issue which contravenes something in this policy document they are welcome to bring it to the
attention of a member of the Moderator Team. Please use the “Report This Post” feature to report posts. Do not respond to such topics yourself.
→ Members are asked to respect the copyright of other users, sites, media, etc.
→ Members should respect the bandwidth of other users and sites. The use of inline ([IMG][/IMG]) image tags pointing to data stored on third party systems for which the user has not received permission to link to may be removed.
→ Members should post in a way which is consistent with "normal writing". That is users should not post excessive numbers of emoticons, large, small or coloured text, etc. Similarly users should not SHOUT or use excessive punctuation (e.g. ! and ?) in topic titles or posts.
→ Members should use an appropriate, descriptive title when posting a new topic. Examples of bad titles include; "Help me!", "I'm stuck!", "I've got a problem!", etc. Examples of good titles include; "Can you help me with this Chord Form", "How do I adjust the truss rod on my guitar", etc.
→ Spam is not tolerated under any circumstance. If you wish to advertise on the site, contact the Site Administrator. If you wish to post an advertisement in the forum, contact the Site Adminsitrator.
→ The moderating, support and other teams reserve the right to edit, remove or put on moderation queue any post at any time. The determination of what is construed as indecent, vulgar, spam, etc. as noted in these points is up to Team Members and not users. The Site Owner will have final authority on what is allowed and not allowed.
→ The above forum rules where applicable also apply to private messaging. Abuse of the private messaging system may lead to warnings (as above) and/or the revocation of private messaging.
- Signatures:

→ Text and images in Signatures must follow our Common Decency Guidelines.
→ Sigs may contain up to 255 characters.
→ Sigs can contain a single image. Said image must not be disproportionate to the size of the forum posting area. Members may be asked to remove an image or reduce the size of the image.
→ Sigs may contain links to personal websites or business websites that you have a personal interest in.
→ Sigs may not be used for advertising in any form.
- Avatars:

→ Images used in Avatars must follow our Common Decency Guidelines.
→ Avatars must be a minimum of 20x20 pixels and a maximum of 95x95 pixels.
→ Avatars can not be more than 22Kb in size.
→ Avatars can not be used for advertising. Avatars containing advertising will be removed.
- Multiple Profiles:

→ Multiple profiles are not permitted.
→ Secondary profiles will be removed along with all the secondary profile posts.
→ Members posting secondary profiles will be banned in accordance with the three strike policy below.
- Policing:

→ This forum has a three strike policy. You will be warned twice, the third time you will be banned.
→ A member will be banned for seven days the first time. The second time a member is banned it will be for 30 days. The third time a member is banned will be for life.
→ Any attempt to circumvent a ban by registering a second account with a different user name, different e-mail address and/or from a different IP adddress will result in an immediate ban for life. Circumvention includes posting as an anonymous user.
→ Any user who feels a moderator has treated them unfairly may contact the Site Administrator or Site Owner for review.
→ Arguing with team members after having received a warning will lead to an immediate additional warning. Should this exceed three strikes a temporary ban will be put in place as above.
→ An exception to the three strike rule applies when users contact team members personally (via any method) and post insulting, indecent or vulgar material. Such users may be subject to an immediate and permanent ban.
